The Walkabout Kit is the result of extensive research by XTA into the most reliable, straightforward method for interfacing with the companyís 4 Series, DP226, DP224, DP6i and SiDD processors.

The Walkabout Kit features a powerful NetGear WiFi Card for greatly extended range and improved stability over WLAN systems built into laptop or notepad PCs. This is combined with a Wiser WLAN to Serial converter, which is programmed at XTA to maximize its speed when working with AudioCore control software.

New firmware has been developed by XTA so reprogramming the wiser basic configuration settings is fast and easy. For even faster setup, users can access factory presets and be up and running in minutes. An included PC utility provides comprehensive setup access, should a user need to move beyond the default settings for any reason.
